Fantastic physicalization… Cordon is a ridiculously agile actress who is as dexterous with her voice as she is with her body. –Calgary Herald

As an actor, dancer and playwright, Shana specializes in physical theater, bridging the world of movement, dance and text-based theater. Shana wrote and performed Dancing with Demons: A Fractured Fairytale, which toured internationally. The Fresno Bee called it “wickedly fun,” and Edmonton Journal highlighted her “acrobatic virtuosity.” Shana wrote, designed, and directed the visually spectacular and surreal Lull, and performed and wrote A Brief History of Intercourse, both to critical acclaim and audience delight. Shana collaborates with artists in Boulder, Seattle, New York and Europe.

Shana holds an MFA in Contemporary Theater from Naropa University, and has extensive training in traditional and physical theater from Seattle’s Freehold Theater Studio/Lab, the American Conservatory Theater, and with such illustrious teachers as Moises Kauffman and Tectonic Theater Project, Meridith Monk, The Siti Company, and Giovanni Fusetti.
